Dr. Durga Das Basu (1910–1997) Dr. Durga Das Basu was a legendary Indian jurist, lawyer, and the pioneer commentator on the foundational legal structures of India. He served as a judge of the Calcutta High Court and as a full-time member of the Law Commission of India.
